The Dream of Daniel #3

Last time, I have talked about the Daniel's dream from The Book of Daniel Chapter 7. This time, I am going to tell about the powerful leader who is supposed to arise during the era of revived new Roman Empire.

"The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them: he shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings." (Daniel 7:24).
I said last time that this "another" king is the Anti-Christ, because the following verse in the same chapter, the verse 25 says; "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time." The "he" here obviously is the Anti-Christ.
In this verse, three characteristics of Anti-Christ are told.

The first characteristics is his "speaking pompous words against the Most High".
In another place of this Book, the Chapter 11:36, Daniel said:
"the king shall do according to his own will; he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done."

The Revelation, in its 13:5-6, also says:
"he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven."
These are the descriptions of the Anti-Christ in the Bible. He blasphemes God, regards himself as equal being to God and speaks great things in his attempt to let all people worship him.

The second characteristics of this king is his attempt to persecute and to murder the saints of the Most High. The Revelation 13:7 says:
"It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And any authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation."
The Anti-Christ was allowed to persecute and kill chiristians.

The third characteristics of the Anti-Christ is his intention to "change times and law". The ultimate controller of "times"(time, seasons, human life span) is the God of Creation. In another words, all natural laws were determined by this God of Creation. The Bible is saying that the Anti-Christ will become so arrogant as to change times and law by his own power, which should be under the control of God's hand. Anyway,he will be so powerful in this world.

We must keep those characteristics of the Anti-Christ in our minds and carefully watch the development of EU which will possibly develop into the revived new Roman Empire.
